The floods in Chitral began in late 16th July, 2015 , resulting from heavy monsoon rains in the Chitral Khyber Pakhtun khwa, which affected the different parts of District Chitral causing extensive damages to houses, mosques, bridges, roads, irrigation and water channels. The communication infrastructure has also been severely affected.
